Hopefully the crappy SD gg release with ads can be replaced soon, as DmonHiro is halfway through a Blu-ray version. Not that it helps significantly, as the animation is still crappy and plagued with errors even on the BD.
But it did entertain me. And got me seriously interested on the original visual novel.
The mystery is actually explicitly written with the intent of being solvable in the VN. The anime basically ignores the mystery a lot of the time, cutting out scenes that focus entirely on it, and heavily reducing the number of hints to the point where a lot of necessary information simply isn't there. So yeah, if you want something decent, go for the VN. Which also has much, much more interesting characters with a lot of development and personality.

Oh and don't go expecting a mystery you can solve. You can't.But it did entertain me. And got me seriously interested on the original visual novel.

Are you going to put a torrent up here for it?

Probably not. I don't care about fancy descriptions, so I never waste time doing them. And since fancy descriptions are the best thing ever for torrent offers...

I'm playing the demo right now and I really like it so it seems I'll be buying the rest of it soon. The graphics seemed just a little off-putting at first but I got used to them really soon since the story is very interesting and the characters are more expressive than mere screencaps can show (just in case someone else thinking about playing them is reading this

It's an odd but slightly interesting series. Definitely not my sort of thing, but I like a mystery coupled with horror, though the mystery part is a bit frustrating because of the magic element. I thought it would be a bit like Clue.

I'm only halfway through and at first I thought it's gonna be pretty boring since the beginning of the first story arc was quite underwhelming, but afterwards it's like watching a bunch of insane witches duking it out with a sims 3 murder-mystery mod using cheat codes. I didn't like the art style at first either, but it was a definite improvement from higurashi. The storytelling style gives me an impression of how writers view works of literature and deconstructing it to it's basic tropes and experimenting with it and eventually escalating it to gurren lagan type over-the-top awesomeness. I am liking this as much as I liked durarara.

edit2: kinzo's rock opera madhouse totally kicks ass.
