Marco - From Apennines to the Andes  

I've made them available here. I also have the complete Spanish DVD set and thought first of making this a Dual Audio release, but episode lengths differed too much between those two language versions.

why does anidb say quality is just 2 stars?  
for video at > 1000kb encodes, shouldn't the quality be around 3?

3 stars = "Very High", which I associate with BluRay quality. For DVDs of newer shows, I'd set 2,5* = "High". For this release of Marco, I set it to "Medium" = 2* as I wouldn't say that the subjective video quality is that high. Interestingly, L-E has their quality setting 2,5*, even though the video quality is equal to my release. I'd say they deserve the extra 0,5* for the extra work they put into subs.

Perhaps because this series (it was done in 1975/76) has not good quality raw videos avalaible ?
For example the site saiei.edwardk.info links to raw video for several WMT series: among those from
Takahata/Miyazaki (pre Ghibli) the only one that has good quality is Akage no Anne  (Anne of Green Gables).

This torrent is great, now if we can only get Alps no Shōjo Heidi and of course the full Japanese version Astro Boy.  Sometimes it's ok to dream right?

Well they started it about 2 years back first as a one shot and then made it one of their projects but like Live-Evil I wouldn't hold my breathe for it to get finished anytime soon.

I was actually pretty happy to see the other day that there was a complete raw of Heidi and that a lot of people where dling and seeding.  I'm hoping that is going to translate into more interest in completing the series.  As for [MJN], the last release I've found from them is episode 4 almost two years ago. Thanx though, I'm gonna keep dreaming.

Awesome, I have been looking for all the World Masterpiece Theater series, was trying (and failing) to make a collection and a new one (to me, even if this was released before i was born) pops up on bakabt, damn i love this site more everyday   and yes thanks to the uploader, like i always say "u guys rock!!!"

I look forward to watching this one.   I too, am going to dream that one fine day, someone will come along and give us the full Japanese version of Astro Boy...1963.

In comparison to the other releases by Pimmedia, Marco's subs are the best. Other titles such as Perrine, Dog of Flanders and Trapp Family Singers have terrible quality
