Have you just never watched a school anime before or what? No, there won't ever be a conclusion... in television form. Read the manga.
Meaning there won't be any more of the series, or the series will turn into a neverending filler machine?

After finally finishing this series (with some help from scud) I gotta say I really liked it. The ending... wasn't really an ending, so I'm gonna read the manga. Apart from that, it's great. Many lolz.

Just because it's a series based on school life doesn't mean it will never have an ending; it's probably due to the fact that it's only up to vol 5 of the manga and the script writers ran out of pre-made plot to make more shows. For example, Azumanga Daioh is a school based anime but yet that wrapped things up nicely because the manga was finished just as the anime series started. Some series do the whole filler arc thing, others go on hiatus. While doing the latter is what most fans prefer, trying to resurrect a series after 6~12 months (or more) can be quite the risk since the popularity of the show is going to take a hit if its not constantly on air as most casual fans switch off and forget about it.
There might be a series 2, though I won't be holding my breath for it.

Watched the first ep last night and was literally laughing out loud most of the way through- seriously awesome anime and I'm really looking forward to watching the rest.
However, went to watch episode 2 this morning, and for some reason the subtitles aren't showing. I'm using KMplayer, cos my other players didn't support the audio, and the video and sound is all fine- and the subs show on ep 1 and 3, just not on 2.
Anyone got any ideas why? I'd really appreciate any advice

your repeat episodes are probably due to VLC storing them as you play. I've had this happen to me before where it plays something that it previously played instead of what you want.
yeah, it can be annoying but I know for a fact as I've watched and am seeding this series right now that their are no duplicate episodes.
