Woe. I just watched the whole thing in two sittings... Man, what a rush!  I really enjoyed it, and I'll probably watch it again at some point.  I do have somewhat mixed emotions about how it deals with closure.  (I was also hoping for more shonen-ai, especially with the cutie, but I suppose it can't be helped.)

It's odd the description doesn't mention the darker thread of Tachibana's issues / nightmares so I'll give that a nod  without spoiling anything (because it's in the first scene of the first episode, and runs throughout).  It makes for a rather uneasy emotional ride at certain points.  Don't get me wrong though, that's one of the reasons I liked it so much, because it's so gripping.  Absolutely a great story, with nicely thought out characters.

Also, since this particular OMFG-HD release failed on my computer (cpu/gpu too old, or linux nvidia drivers insufficient) I watched a lower-res release (704x400 - H.264 - 2.1GB) by Yoroshiku  ... I've never uploaded anything before, but would it be reasonable to upload / offer Yoroshiku's release as an alternate version?  Or will it just be shot down as a duplicate?  How does that work?   Thanks for input.  If anyone wants it, I'll give it a go, I guess.

Well to start with.  The opening credits were a classic.  A miniature set with stop photography filming.  Old school.  
But it was nice to have seen it.  And it fit the series perfect.  The series starts out like most anime's do,
but the theme set it apart from most others out there.  It is a mix of male bonding, life and of course delicious cake!  There is some, how to say this: gay life scenes.  No hardcore stuff.  It was funny and emotionally
fulfilling.  It was nice to have an anime that left me guessing and wanting more.  All in all, this anime was not what I
had expected, it was better!  And would recommend it very highly to any one. Very nice slice of live.      

I adored this! I watched it in two sittings as well.
It's a great, gentle anime. Kinda reminded me of Honey and CLover in that regard. And for anyone who doesn't like shounen-ai, well it isn't that bad most of the time. Ono's gay demonic charm tends to be more funny than serious. Of course that could disappoint the shounen-ai fans... but the show itself is too sweet and charming to be that disappointed. And you'll really want some good cake after!

I watched this over the summer! Every sunday was leeching-Antique-Bakery-day. Amazing series, way too funny. The opening song is still my mobile ringtone  

This show made me hungry, which pissed me off. But other than that, it reminded me a little of Junjou Romantica, mostly just because it's one of that rare breed of shounen-ai that is actually intelligent without being dull, emotionally charged without being morose (or angsty), and funny without being tacky. I was particularly impressed with the character development, which is done with a lot more skill and care than in many animes, including some well-known animes. Antique Bakery has a degree of thought to it that many animes do not have, and that alone makes it impressive in my eyes.

Also, I want the damn soundtrack. The OP and ED are awesome, and most of the soundtrack is pretty enjoyable too.

Plus, Ono is hawt. 8D

I watched this awhile ago but thought I might as well leave a comment! This anime was really awesome. Although I recommend you bringing a box of chocolates or sweets with you when you watch this cuz oh boy this anime makes you hungry!

I really liked this anime a lot and the quality was great in sound, video and subtitles.
