Very powerful.  It definitely belongs in the "art" category but it's painful knowing that atrocities similar to those portrayed here (and worse) have, and continue to take place around the world.

Thank you very much for uploading this particular work but I don't think I'll be reading it again for a while.

Me neither. Some images are printed in my mind though. One particular image especially. It's on the bottom of page 38. I think that panel would have been even more powerful had the text been left out. Talk about the human condition...

Lol is that all?
I mean, I've got more images from 300 imprinted to my brain than this.
I wonder if I should concentrate more when I read such stuff next time.
Sparta beats maddness (and this one is).

Regarding the category, I'd definetly say that this is the art type. Definetly extreme, but art it is.
Though, I don't get wether the author tried to reflect our world in the manga or just give the readers a glimpse of the reality they don't know.

hmm  :-| so sad story, actually it remind me  the sordid real story which is ongoing in the uk island called Jersey where they found skull and torture chamber in the orphanage. But authority are doing everything to shut the case down in order to preserve the image of the island... http://www.france24.com/en/20080321-report-jersey-island-abuse-orphanage-haut-garenne-local-authorities

Wonder if similar case were the source of inspiration for this short story.

Well, of course we humans excel in all sorts of not all too altruistic behaviour. What happens in some orphanages is only one example of the darker sides of our nature.

Seems like the usual motive of "world destruction" doesn't seem too bad now eh.

Samura has been known to draw very dark themes (including some guro).  Check out Blade of the Immortal (published by Dark Horse) for alot of similar themes set in historical-fantasy Japan.  As a longtime Samura fan, thanks for the up.

:!: this is bullshit... seriously i think anyone can see that introducing lolis into prison environment in souch a small quantity can only result in much more violence than before. people are not much into sharing if it's about their sex toys. and many are the self righteous bastards who would gut their homies for pricking children outside, not right in front of their eyes... so what is this all about aside from serving the questionable needs of those like to see young girls maimed? have no idea. not that i think humans are saints they are just much more selfish beasts.

Man this is one messed up story. To think that stuff like this happenned in the past. Its even more messed up that stuff is going on now for all we know

Goes to show you that things aren't always as they appear and they could even lead to something so grim, no human should have to go thru something like that. All that mess to fuel some crackpot theory that is sure not to work. No different than feeding lambs to wolves
