I agree with Druaga about the new dubbing. Why did they do that?! Why dub it again with a new cast? The old dub was perfect (still got it on VHS) while the new one sucks (Pai for instance sounds too much mature, it doesn't fit her nature). Please... if someone has this OVA with the old dub... upload it.

I was a bit worried about the dub after reading the comments, but WOW, I think it's great! If you're looking for a supernatural storyline with superb character development, this is really one of the best.

It was redubbed because the company that did the first dub (Streamline?) went out of business between the release of the VHS version, and the re-release on DVD.

IMHO It would be a simple task for [a4e] to synch the VHS soundtrack with the DVD video. The episodes are no different in the DVD version, it's only the audio that's changed. I considered doing it myself, but don't possess the time or desire to do it at the moment.

Great series, one of the first anime I ever watched (After Legend of the 4 Kings), and still a favourite of mine. The redub does answer more questions, and make more sense when you get to the last episode where Yakumo is talking with Parvati / Sanjiyan as she sits on Theyo, but other than that, the new dub does suck if your used to the original version.

From my research on this, when Pioneer purchased the rights to re-release this title, as well as all materials used to produce to film, the original mastered audio tracks could not be recovered and were considered lost. Since Pioneer purchased all the rights to this film with all intention of not only releasing it on to DVD format but also remastering it, they decided to hire an all new cast, rework the script to appear more like the japanese original and thus the new Dub was born.

All this also applies to the movie Akira, which was also originally a Streamline Pictures video. However on this note, I heard an "international" version of Akira was released with all the THX video with the original untouched dub.

Back to 3x3 Eyes, the thing that trully pissed me off the most was that Episode 7 was only made with the new dub. And I do clap my hands at Pioneers attempt to rekindle this blessed piece...To someone who was a fan of the Old dub, this new dub completely ruins every single part that trully made the film.

This movie began my finite journey into anime 15 years ago. This is a great masterpiece that many still don't know about. And is highly recommended if you have never seen the original dub; if you have than more likely you've already heard the new dub....

May I ask somebody to upload the exactly extracted audio tracks from the other dub to some hosting server like rapidshare or megaupload and then paste link to it in this section? I would like to incorporate it into the a4e files and enjoy the access to both the tracks but the better video quality of a4e. I could download it just for the sake of the sound, but I figure if some of you guys already have the other version maybe you could spare me a little ratio.

I deleted this ova after watching the first 20 mins of the first ova episode. I have a feeling I made a mistake, Pai's voice sounded too kiddish, I could be wrong but I'm hearing her voice sounds mature in this one. Question is, should I give it another go?

You deleted a series just because 1 VA? You should definitely watch this. One of the best animes I've seen and I've seen a lot. This is the first time I watched this in Japanese because I own the english VHS. I never knew Meishin had Luffy's VA. It sounds really of if you ask me. Totally doesn't sound like a woman. I think I like the english VHS version that I have better.
And again can someone please seed this. I'm downloading with 20kB/s and my max download speed is 1,5mb/s
